WELCOME TO WOMEN IN MINISTRY AUXILIARY

The Women in Ministry Auxiliary aims to empower, support, and uplift women clergy within the Mt. Bethel Baptist Association by providing a platform for spiritual growth, leadership development, and community engagement. We seek to create a nurturing environment where women in ministry can connect, collaborate, and cultivate their unique gifts and callings, contributing to the overall mission of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Association and the broader faith community.

The Mt. Bethel Baptist Association Women In Ministry Auxiliary was founded by Moderator Rev. Dr. Raymond Bell at the 149th Session and was confirmed by the members. Rev. Dr. Tonya Merriweather Gipson Miller was appointed as the auxiliary President.

 

Mission and Vision for Women in Ministry Auxiliary

Mission: The Women in Ministry Auxiliary aims to empower, support, and uplift women clergy within the Mt. Bethel Baptist Association by providing a platform for spiritual growth, leadership development, and community engagement. We seek to create a nurturing environment where women in ministry can connect, collaborate, and cultivate their unique gifts and callings, contributing to the overall mission of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Association and the broader faith community.

Vision: Our vision is to see every woman in ministry within the Mt. Bethel Baptist Association fully equipped and empowered to fulfill her divine calling, leading with confidence, compassion, and conviction. We envision a vibrant community of women clergy who are not only spiritually strong but also influential in shaping the future of the Church and the broader community.

Support for Mt. Bethel Baptist Association

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership of Mt. Bethel Baptist Association to align our goals with the association’s overall mission, ensuring that our efforts complement and enhance the work being done across all member churches.

  • Leadership Development: Offer specialized training and workshops aimed at developing leadership skills among women clergy, preparing them to take on greater roles within the association and their local congregations.

  • Resource Sharing: Create a repository of resources, including sermon preparation tools, pastoral care guidelines, and educational materials, specifically tailored for women in ministry.

  • Mentorship Programs: Establish a mentorship network that pairs experienced women clergy with those newer to ministry, fostering a supportive community where knowledge and wisdom are shared.

 

Events 

  1. Annual Women in Ministry Conference and Revival:

    • A conference and revival focused on leadership, spiritual growth, and practical ministry skills.

    • Keynote speakers, workshops, and panel discussions addressing topics relevant to women in ministry.

  2. Monthly Leadership Roundtables via Zoom and a Bi-Monthly Newsletter:

    • An informal gathering where women clergy can discuss current challenges, share experiences, and offer mutual support.

    • These roundtables can be themed around topics like "Navigating Ministry as a Woman" or "Balancing Ministry and Family."

    • The Bi-Monthly Newsletter will highlight and spotlight Women in Ministry throughout the Mt. Bethel Baptist Association (Women In Ministry Auxiliary).

  3. Women In Ministry Monthly Podcast: 

    • Hosted by the Women In Ministry Auxiliary and a special Podcast Guest.

    • Include sessions on personal wellness, prayer, and deepening one’s relationship with God.

  4. Mentorship and Networking Events:

    • Pair newer women clergy with seasoned pastors for mentorship.

    • Host networking events that allow women in ministry to connect, share resources, and build supportive relationships.

  5. Community Outreach Programs:

    • Organize outreach initiatives, such as food drives, youth mentorship programs, or partnerships with local shelters, that allow women clergy to engage their congregations in meaningful community service.

  6. Educational Workshops and Webinars:

    • Offer workshops on topics such as sermon writing, church administration, and counseling, designed to equip women clergy with the tools they need to succeed in ministry.

 

These initiatives would not only empower women clergy but also strengthen the entire Mt. Bethel Baptist Association by fostering a community of well-equipped, confident, and spiritually grounded women leaders.
